Flying

Flying is definatley the quickest mode of transport, and you can find some great deals. You can fly into the Whitsundays coast airport, (formally know as Proserpine airport,) or you can fly into Hamilton Island. The 3 airlines that fly here are, Virgin Blue , Jetstar and Qantas.

From the Whitsundays coast airport you can make your way into town via the local bus or taxi service. It takes around 50 minutes so allow enough time for transfers and check in time. The bus costs about $15 pp and a taxi is about $70.

99.9% of the time you won't have a problem getting into town, so there is no need to book, but if you would prefer to, just let us know and we can arrange it for you.Just contact Mr Travel

To get from Hamilton Island to the main land there are two water taxi services Cruises Whitsundays costs about $45 and the other Fantasea is about $70.

Cruise Whitsundays have a ferry service which meets every flight to and from the Island, and drops off at Able Point Marina. I feel they are the easier of the two options as Fantasea drops you off at Shute Harbour and then it?s a bus or taxi ride into Airlie Beach again.
