Beaches Airlie Beach

Beaches is a Backpackers Favourite! Beaches is a bar and Bistro and also an affordable Backpackers, located in the middle of Airlie Beach. You couldn't miss this pumping purple and green pub if you tried. It is a great starting point for a night on the town. Beaches is great for a cheap meal, accommodation and is a poopluar venue for catching up with  friends, meeting new people, having a dance to live music and having a game of pool. There is also a small arcade area with some gaming machines that are between $1 and $2. Most of the chartered boat trips in the Whitsundays put up a table for their passengers after the trip, to give them and the crew the opportunity to reminisce and make some more memories. Beaches starts to get busy after 8pm and by 10pm is usually packed. No cover charge applies unless it is a special event. You woll want your camera for this pub!

Magnums

Magnums is next door to Beaches and is the other major backpackers in town. Magnums is huge! There are four different seating areas. Two of those are looking on to the main street of Airlie Beach, where you will no doubt see someone you know from Fraser Island or your recent Sailing Trip. There is another seating area outside Mama Boys where you can order food through out the day. The other seating area is out the back around the pool tables which is $3 a game. Magnums is the best place in Airlie Beach to play pool, as it has the most room and best tables. It also has a Gaming lounge with Pokies and Keno. Magnums hosts foam parties and live music, and is great for a casual banter.

Phoenix

Phoenix is one of the locals favourite spots to drink. They offer a fun and friendly atmosphere, have great drink specials and support  DJ's mixing the latest tracks. You can spend some time getting some fresh air out the front where you can hear what the person next to you is saying, chill at the bar or open window over looking the street and get involved on the dancefloor! Chartered boats that don't hold tables at Beaches mostly party here after their cruise and sometimes supply free pizza. No cover charge applies unless it is a special event. If Phoenix isn't your first stop in town make it your second or third it is awesome!

Paddy Shenanigans

Paddy Shenanigans is a very popular Irish Pub. Almost everyone out in town will step foot in here at least once during the night. This is where you will spot the friend you lost at Beaches, that hilarious irish passenger from your boat trip and the circle of locals getting amongst it all. This is where you will hear that song you haven't herard in ages! Paddys is a must visit in town, and you should definatley try a Nashi, which is alcoholic cider, vodka and redball. No cover charge applies unless it is a special event. The staff are great and the vibes are awesome!

Mama Africas

Mama Africas is the most popular nightclub in Airlie Beach. Follow the red carpet up the stairs into this suprising little nightclub with great decor. Here you will dance and dance and then dance. In between that catch up at the bar where they serve some delicious cocktails. Mamas fires up after midnight, and is usually packed. Depending on your style you may or may not appreciate the music, but being in Airlie Beach you are almost guranteed to have a good time.
