Abel Point Marina Airlie Beach

Abel Point is the departure point for all the Sailing trips around the Whitsundays, Its also the departure point of the local ferry service operated by Cruise Whitsundays. The Marina is separarted in to two areas North and South.

Ferries depart and return Daily and almost hourly to the islands such as Daydream Island resort and spa, Hamitlon Island Airport, Koala adventure island and Long island. Check out the Cruise Whitsundays Airlie Beach timetable.

    How to get to Abel Point:

    Abel point is situated on Shingley beach Drive off Shute Harbour Road, Between Cannonvale and Airlie Beach. 45 Mins from Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine)

    On Foot:

    If your staying in Airlie Beach and you dont have a car the best route is the foreshore boardwalk, this is a leasurely walk around the Airlie forshore called the boardwalk. you can find the start of the walk at the lagoon in the CBD. The board walk will take you right in to the Marina Village. Here youll find a conveience kiosk, bottle shop, Public toliets, Telephone and Bar.

    Driving:

    If your driving into Airlie on Shute Harbour Road you'll see a turning on the left in the dip of the road, turn left into Shingley drive and Imediately right at the end of the road youll come to a round about  where youll find the Marina Village. If your departing on a sailing cruise its adviseable to drop off your luggage first and then find a car park.

    Car Parking:

    Theres 3 parking areas at Abel point, the Paid parking at the first car park, then the Free parking and the Trailer parking. Parking is always difficult to find so we recommend getting there early to ensure a spot. Many cars are left here overnight, theres no security patrols, vehicles are left at owners risk.

    Abel Point Marina North Services:

    Marina Office - Opposite the Round about

    Toliets - Male and Female toilets can be found opposite the roundabout. There are no showers here

    Showers- Are only availble to berth and key holders.

    ATM - situated next door to the Marina office opposite the roundabout.

    Bottle Shop- is situated Downstairs opposite A arm. We recommend that a you only purchase tins of beer and not Glass if your taking alcohol on a sailing trip.

    Kiosk - can be found opposite the roundabout, they are open 7am to 4pm and serve hot food, coffee, bait and Ice 

    Scuba Hire - Aqua Dive is situated in the marina village next door to the bottle shop. you can hire scuba Equipment and Tanks they have Stinger suits and Wet Suits for sale. you can also hire Prescription masks.

    Marine Brokerage - is situated in the marina village next door to the bottle shop

    Lundry- is situated in the marina village next door to the Toliets.

    Barracudas Bar- is situated on the corner opposite A arm they serve Breakfast Lunch and Dinner and Specialise in a variety of Oyster dishes.

    Abel Point Marina South Services:

    Toliets - Male and Female toilets can be found behind the Cafe.

    Showers- Are only availble to berth and key holders.

    Cafe - can be found Downstairs opposite the Cruise Whitsundays Check in desk, they are open 7am to 4pm and serve hot food, coffee, bait and Ice 

    Lundry- is Situated in the marina village next door to the Toliets.

    Marina office - Upstairs in the marina Village.

    Departure Meeting Points:

    Ferries depart from the Southern End of the Marina.

    Overnight trips meet at Glorias Cafe in the South or Opposite the Kiosk in the North, your boarding pass will state what location to meet at.

    We recommend that you meet no later than 30 mins prior to departure.
